Crassula rupestris is a type of succulent subshrub that can grow up to 1 meter tall. The stems are thin, and fleshy near the growing tip, but rather woody lower down. The leaves are small, thick, opposite, and ovate in shape, about 2.5 cm long. During the summer, the leaves turn more yellow. Mature plants will bloom with clusters of pink, star-shaped flowers 6 mm across.

With this purchase, you will receive the exact succulent pictured here, which is grown in a 2-3 inch pot (7 centimeters).

USDA hardiness zones 9b to 11b: from 25 °F (−3.9 °C) to 50 °F (+10 °C).

Succulents make great gifts for amateur, casual gardeners as well as green thumbs!

Although they are fairly drought tolerant, they will become more spectacular with regular deep watering and light fertilizing. The hybrids and variegated versions tend to be less tolerant of frost and shade.

Plant your bare-rooted succulent immediately into slightly moist, well-draining soil and place it in an area that doesn't get direct sunlight. Wait about a week before you water it. Gradually increase the light levels until it has adjusted to its new home.
