The birth flower of July, larkspur (Delphinium consolida-ajacis) is a staple in any cottage garden, both on its own and planted with other flowers, and will readily self-seed, coming back year after year. It evokes perfectly the image of an English cottage garden.

Larkspur are upright annuals with deeply pinnately or palmate leaves, and racemes or panicles of small, spurred-like flowers in summer. The roots grow into the soil up to a depth of 50 centimeters (20 inches), so the plant can survive long periods of drought.

The "Qis" series was bred specifically for the cut flower market, making it perfect for bouquets. Its appreciated for its uniform appearance, stong stems, and lovely double flowers. It grows up to 120 cm tall.
